The climate in Las Vegas

If you have ever visited Las Vegas during the summer months, you know that it can be very hot and dry. The summer months see highs in excess of 110° while winters are crisp and cool. The low humidity levels make the temperatures much more bearable during the hottest months. The dry heat can make it feel 10°-15° cooler than what the thermometer is showing. On the other hand, the winter months can be very chilly—the climate is typical of desert living.

Las Vegas receives an average of 4 inches of rain and 250 days of sunshine each year. In addition to rainfall, it does snow on occasion in the city and the surrounding area.
